The social media post features the announcement video of Yellowstone season 5, part 2 release date. However, it’s in the caption that Bohen adds his tease, writing: “Clear your calendar. Grab your tissues. Send the youngins off to your sisters house. It’s gonna get real western around here.”

Arguably the best way to go about this is for the character to die. As devastating as it would be, it is the only acceptable reason why John would not be on his turf. He wouldn’t willingly leave, especially considering what’s happening between Beth and Jamie. As the Dutton family patriarch, his death gives viewers plenty to be emotional about, which fits Bohen’s tease about the Yellowstone finale.
