Despite his success, he was battling severe addiction issues, including consuming methadone, Xanax, and a full quart of vodka daily, along with taking 55 Vicodin pills a day. Perry even recounted a near-fatal incident where he narrowly escaped death after spending two weeks in a coma due to a burst colon caused by opioid use.
