Former EastEnders star Toby-Alexander Smith has confirmed his new project, and has even called on his fans’ help.

The Gray Atkins actor, 33, is now looking to fund a short film project titled Calm.

In addition to writing the new feature length, Toby is set to play the lead role of Sam.

The synopsis follows a first-time father becoming overwhelmed by the disconnection he feels from his son

With £10,000 set as the target, the production is looking to members of the public to help make it a reality

So far, over £2,500 has been raised with about three weeks remaining.

Meanwhile, Toby’s real-life wife Amy Walsh is also set to star in Calm, playing the role of Jess opposite her husband.

Toby and Amy tied the knot in a stunning ceremony last September, surrounded by their friends and family.

Emmerdale cast members including Natalie Ann Jamieson (Amy Wyatt), Olivia Bromley (Dawn Taylor), and Louisa Clein (Maya Stepney) were in attendance, as was EastEnders star Shona McGarty (Whitney Dean), who worked closely with Toby during his final scenes on the BBC One soap.

The couple share a daughter, Bonnie, who was born in 2022.

Actress Lorraine Stanley recently shared a series of pics of Toby and Amy’s wedding on her instagram.

Amy looked radiant as she posed for pictures in her wedding dress alongside her hubby Toby in Montenegro.

Toby was written out of EastEnders in March 2022 as killer Gray was caught by police following his killing spree.

Amy, meanwhile, returned to Emmerdale last year as her character Tracy tied the knot with Nate Robinson in surprise scenes.
