EastEnders spoilers follow from Thursday’s second episode (July 4), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer.

EastEnders’ Nish Panesar has delivered a cruel twist to Priya Nandra-Hart in the show’s latest episode.

This week, Priya made terminally ill Nish an offer to make his last few months “enjoyable”, in exchange for financial security for her family.

Nugget was horrified to spot the pair kissing through the window, shortly before he collapsed on the pavement, suffering the effects of steroid use.

Nish and Priya’s sordid deal took a backseat as Nugget’s health became the main concern for the family, and he refused to tell the police about Denzel.

In the latest episode, Nish tried to talk to Nugget who revealed that he had seen him and Priya kissing, and threatened to tell everyone if he didn’t get off his back.

Meanwhile, Denzel was arrested, coming clean to the police and confirming he never made any profit from giving Nugget drugs. He was released with a juvenile caution.

Ravi suggested to Priya that they should be a proper family – and with a reunion on the cards, she told Nish that she had changed her mind and the deal was off.

When she said she wanted to focus on her family, Nish turned cruel and tried to blackmail her instead, then told her that he would never have given her money anyway.

Nish then decided to make things even worse for Priya and as he arrived back in the Square, he faked breathing difficulties, getting support from Ravi.

He took this opportunity to lie and tell his son that he and Priya had slept together, leaving Ravi shocked.

Nish explained that Priya had been tempting him for weeks and had played him, threatening him to tell everyone what happened if he didn’t sign over his businesses in her name.

After Nish stressed that Priya didn’t care about anyone but herself, Ravi confronted her about what he’d found out when she returned home with Avani.

He had packed up Avani’s stuff and invited her to go and live with him and Vinny, leaving Priya alone and distraught. Will Priya be able to get her family back?
