EastEnders’ Linda Carter will be left fighting for her life next week, as she is rushed to hospital in dramatic scenes.
In recent weeks, Linda has been struggling to cope with Keanu’s death, and as Dean’s murder trial approaches, she has managed her guilt by returning to alcohol.
This week, Linda has been approached by an associate of Dean’s, who offered her a deal – retract the witness statement she made, and he will confess to her rape.

Johnny has tried to talk his mum out of taking the deal, but it hasn’t yet been revealed what she will decide to do about her new dilemma.
Things will soon get even worse when Linda is targeted by blackmail letters, and she gets paranoid about who could be sending them.
The mystery blackmailer is also being kept under wraps for now, but their identity will be revealed this week, when they pay Dean a visit in prison.

Next week, Linda will continue to spiral, and her situation will take a terrifying turn when her life ends up in danger.
Once again dependent on alcohol, Linda has been drinking all night and Johnny has run out of options as to how to help his mum.
Gina, who also currently resides at the pub, steps up to lend a hand, and she tells Johnny that she will look after Linda.

There is a lot of tension between the Carters, and when Johnny returns later, things boil over and he and Linda have a huge argument.
Johnny removes himself from the situation and takes himself off to calm down, but when he comes home, he is shocked to find Linda in a life-threatening situation.
Quite what has happened to Linda remains a secret, but she is in a serious condition as the paramedics rush into The Vic to treat her.

At the hospital, Johnny is devastated about what has happened to his mum. He blames Gina for Linda’s current state and orders her to move out of the pub.
Meanwhile, Johnny and Callum have recently gotten closer, with Johnny previously taking him on a night out to take his mind off Ben’s prison stint.
With Linda in hospital, Callum provides Johnny with a shoulder to cry on, but Johnny misinterprets his kindness and tries to kiss Callum.
