This article contains spoilers for Thursday’s (June 27th) EastEnders, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.
Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) got the shock of her life in recent EastEnders scenes when she got out of the shower to find a strange man in her house.
The strange man in question was none other than Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) – Billy Mitchell’s (Perry Fenwick) brother – though Honey had no idea.
While visiting dad Stevie Mitchell (Alan Ford) in hospital, Teddy interrupted a conversation between Stevie and Will Mitchell (Freddie Phillips), and tried to find out where his dad had been – but to no avail.
Having spotted Will leaving with Billy, Teddy decided to follow them, dragging sons Barney and Harry (Lewis Bridgeman and Elijah Holloway) to Albert Square, determined to find out where Stevie had really been for the last few weeks.
‘Stevie’s whereabouts have been unknown up until now, and so [Teddy] wants to find out what happened and what he’s been up to in the time that he’s been in Walford,’ actor Roland Manookian explained.
‘Teddy knows this is probably the only lead that he’s going to get because his father isn’t going to tell him the truth. So, there’s a motive of trying to get to the bottom of what’s happened’
His search led him straight to Honey’s front door, and it didn’t take him long to find a key under the plant pot and let himself in.
As Teddy began searching around the living room, looking at the photos on the shelves, he was shocked by Honey’s sudden appearance.
Horrified, Honey threatened to call the police, as Teddy urged her to let him explain himself, revealing that he was trying to find Stevie.
When Honey insisted that Stevie wouldn’t be going back there, Teddy left, leaving her completely confused.
