Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) is hiding a huge secret in EastEnders, and here at Metro.co.uk we’re keen to get to the bottom of it.
Unfortunately, Adam Woodyatt and co-star Michelle Collins, who plays Cindy Beale, were keeping tight-lipped over the upcoming scenes.
‘A secret? About Ian? I don’t know what you’re talking about…’ Michelle joked, while Adam added, ‘I don’t want to spoil it! Neither of us do!’
However, he did issue a warning to fans, who have been speculating online for the past few days about what the businessman could be hiding.
‘Don’t believe everything you read, and just watch it!’
Social media has been rife with rumours that Jane Beale (Laurie Brett) may be set to return as part of this storyline – but could Adam be suggesting that this isn’t the case? Or is it a really good double bluff?
Next week, Cindy tracks Ian to a mysterious location, but why is he there, and what will she find waiting for her?
Of course, we also had to touch on Cindy’s penchant for a Knight in shining armour, if you will, following her recent kiss with George Knight (Colin Salmon) and her night of passion with his son Junior (Micah Balfour).
‘She’s a little bit naughty really, isn’t she?’ Michelle said. ‘I think everyone thought, “Ooh, she’s a bit nice…” and now it’s like be careful what you wish for, I suppose!’
‘Same old Cindy!’ Adam quipped.Since their return to our screens last year, Cindy and Ian have been up to all sorts, from selling baguettes in the south of France, to family feuds with the Beales and the Knights.
‘We have a lot of fun,’ Adam enthused.
‘Ian and Cindy are like George and Mildred,’ Michelle agreed, before teasing what’s still to come.
‘It’s hotting up, put it that way. It’s all exciting and it’s hotting up!’
