This article contains spoilers for Wednesday’s (19 June) episode of EastEnders, which is available now on BBC iPlayer.
EastEnders fans have seen Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) struggling to cope with being sexually assaulted by Pastor Clayton (Howard Saddler) in recent weeks,
but she made the brave decision to report his actions to the police in Wednesday’s episode.
Yolande was seen heading to the police station after she had to come face-to-face with her abuser at the baptism of Chelsea Fox’s (Zaraah Abrahams) son Jordan.
While Yolande has confided in husband Patrick (Rudolph Walker) about being sexually assaulted, the rest of her family have remained in the dark, so the couple were previously horrified to learn the Pastor would be conducting the service.
As the day of the baptism arrived, the Fox-Trueman clan gathered together to celebrate Jordan, but Denise (Diane Parrish) picked up on the atmosphere between Yolande and Pastor Clayton, asking her if something had happened between them.
