It’s crunch time for The Six in EastEnders next week, as Dean Wicks’ (Matt Di Angelo) long-awaited trial for Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) murder finally arrives.
But if the women of Walford thought they were about to get away with murder without some last-minute drama, they are set to be proved wrong.
Spoilers for next week’s episodes of the BBC soap have revealed there is set to be more than a few bumps in the road for The Six, as their plot to frame Dean for Linda Carter’s (Kellie Bright) crime comes to a head.
Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) is anxious as she prepares to take to the stand, as she’s unwittingly being harassed by Keanu’s sister Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris), who believes she’s the real killer.
Sharon’s worry panics an already vulnerable Linda, who has already been hospitalised after turning to the bottle to cope with the worry of having to give evidence.
They are offered reassurance from Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), while other Six members Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) show their support for Linda as she prepares to testify.
However, they suffer a massive early setback when Sharon baulks under the pressure of cross-examination as Dean’s brief brings up information her past.
A situation then quickly escalates that could have huge repercussions for The Six.
Linda is also spooked by Sharon’s ordeal and legs it from the court before she’s due to give evidence, having previously given a false witness statement placing her rapist Dean at the scene where Keanu’s body was discovered on the night of his murder.Phil teams up with Linda’s son Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) to track her down and get her on the stand as the rest of the The Six anxiously wait for an update.
But they are later left reeling when events take a turn that will have huge repercussions for the group – and it becomes clear their ordeal is far from over.
Under immense pressure, a member of the group then makes a decision they may live to regret…
