Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) has developed an unhealthy obsession with fitness in EastEnders, and has endeavoured to try anabolic steroids alongside his new, intense fitness routine.

His issues with his body image began after an altercation with bully Logan, which saw him get attacked.

Since then, he has taken up boxing and changed his eating habits, determined to ‘bulk up’.

In upcoming scenes, his obsession with the gym causes more problems in his relationship with Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd), and he leaves her upset when he snaps at her after a lecture on his obsession.

Though he is struck with guilt, he is soon cheered up by a notification that his steroids are set to be delivered today.

Later, he faces more opposition to his lifestyle choices from Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter), who questions him on his diet in the café.

Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) overhears the pair clashing, and soon encourages Yolande to stand firm.

Back at home, Denzel remains closed-down, but when a mysterious package arrives, Yolande hides it before trying to get to the bottom of his current struggles.

After receiving advice from Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), Yolande tries again to get Denzel to open up about his troubles, but he refuses.

Yolande quickly explains that if he wants his parcel back, then he is going to have to start talking.

Little does Yolande know, the package contains steroids, and Denzel is determined to get it back…

The next day, Denzel makes amends with Nugget Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) after he lies about his confrontation with Yolande.

When Nugget talks to Yolande, their conversation is interrupted as Kat finds Denzel stealing his parcel back from Yolande’s bag.
