Next week on Hollyoaks, a huge stunt week will change everything for the village residents. Cleo finally tries to escape Abe with horrific consequences, while Warren and Dave come face to face and Frankie stands up to Suzanne.

This will mark the first week where the show will air three weekly instalments instead of five, so here’s a full round-up of the biggest stories coming up in this thrilling week of episodes:

1. Blue lies in wait

After Warren’s prison escape, police are all over the village looking for him, while Blue, aka Dave, is also lurking with a gun.

Ethan and Vicky bump into Dave, and he acts like nothing is wrong – while the net closes in.

2. Warren makes a plan

Warren meets with Donny and Ste and confirms that the plan is to exchange Misbah – who has been kidnapped – which will bring him face to face with the elusive Blue.

But Grace later meets Donny and worries about where Warren is, adding she doesn’t trust him to show up. She’s right to be concerned, as Mercedes tells Warren that he has to go back on the deal and leave with her and the twins instead.

3. Misbah is scared

Misbah is kidnapped by Rex at the hotel, and she tries to reason with him, urging him to see that there’s another way. She thinks she has managed to win him round, but instead, Rex tells her that they’re moving location ahead of the big exchange with Warren.

4. Cleo asks for help

Cleo plays nice with Abe and tells him that she is sorry about what happened the previous night. But once he leaves for work, she packs a bag and prepares to run away.

She waits at the bus stop, and Joel’s concerned about her. Abe then arrives and confronts Cleo, but Prince manages to help her escape on the bus.

Once on the move, Cleo rings Mercedes and begs for her help. Mercedes and Warren prepare for a fresh start together, but Mercedes then picks up Cleo’s message and they decide to wait by the woods for her.

5. James tells the truth

James gets ready to leave for his hospital appointment, having previously had an MRI scan after the hospital referred him.

Later, Ste confronts James at the flat and he finally admits to his husband that he thinks he has a brain tumour.

6. Dave rescues Cleo

When Cleo switches buses, Abe manages to catch up to her and confronts her again. At this point, Dave passes on his bike, so Cleo flags him down and asks him to take her to Warren and Mercedes.

Dave is thrilled at the prospect of being led directly to Warren, and they flee the scene. A motorbike chase then follows, with Cleo on the back of Dave’s bike and Abe behind in his car.

7. Warren makes a discovery

Cleo and Dave manage to lose Abe, and they continue heading towards Warren and Mercedes. Cleo speaks to Mercedes and tries to plan a meeting point.

Dave then heads into the woods and leaves Cleo alone. Warren also heads into the woods, after telling Mercedes that he will always love her. He expects to see Cleo but finds Dave instead.

He doesn’t realise that Dave is Blue, and by the time he learns the truth, it’s too late. What will happen next?

8. Ethan opens up to Sienna

In The Dog car park, Sienna and Ethan have a heart-to-heart about what’s going on in each other’s lives. Ethan then confesses his true feelings to his ex and reveals that he’s still in love with her.

9. James and Ste reunite

James tells Ste that he’s afraid of dying, while Ste is devastated that James has hidden this huge bombshell from him.

Later though, James tells Leah and Lucas that he and Ste are back together for good. Will they reunite properly?

10. Frankie takes a stand

Jack and Frankie run into Suzanne and JJ outside The Dog. Frankie confronts Suzanne about JJ’s abuse and recalls horrific incidents from her childhood that her mum didn’t take notice of.

Frankie says she won’t be silenced, while Jack also challenges Suzanne when she stresses that she never knew anything.

11. Cleo causes an accident

Cleo is still being chased by Abe and tries to make her way home, but she’s unable to control the motorbike.

It careers through the market and through the front of the McQueens’ house – with Marie, Jack, Suzanne and Frankie inside.

12. The village is devastated

After the tragic accident, Cleo is lying outside on the floor, while the McQueens’ house is in an awful state. Abe can’t get a response from Cleo, but before he calls an ambulance, he makes sure to take the iPad out of her bag.

Leela heads to The Dog and breaks the news to Tony and the Osbornes about the accident. Darren races to the hospital to be with Frankie and Jack.

13. Abe announces a death

At the hospital, Joel wants to know why Cleo was on the bike and what she was running from. Cleo shows Leela and Joel her bruises and tells them that Abe has been abusing her.

Angry, Joel fights with Abe, but they are interrupted by the news that their mum Marie is deteriorating. Abe later tells Cleo that Marie has died – and warns that he will make her wish she was dead.

Sure enough, when Sally visits Cleo’s hospital room, she finds the bed empty. Where have they gone?

14. Mercedes returns alone

In the woods, Mercedes desperately calls for Warren, as he hasn’t returned after leaving to meet Cleo.

Later, Mercedes returns to the village with the twins and is shocked to find the McQueens’ home destroyed. What has happened to Warren?
