Martine McCutcheon’s ex husband has spoken out about his split from the former EastEnders star.
Jack McManus has insisted he had nothing further to add to Martine’s lengthy statement, which she shared during her holiday in Marbella.
Speaking from the couple’s marital home , Jack, 40, told the MailOnline: ‘There is nothing more to add. I will not be saying anything more about this.”
Martine and Jack share son Rafferty, who was born in 2015, and say they will ‘still cherish and look forward to being parents together to our wonderful boy for the rest of our lives.’
She continued: ‘While this decision has evolved over a period of time, we are still finding our new way forward as a family and kindly ask for some privacy at this time. Especially for our little boy.
‘Our love for Rafferty, is something that will never waver, or change and we obviously want to protect him and help him feel as safe and secure as possible.
‘Many thanks in advance for your respect and support at this difficult time…and I continue to send Jack, all the love, luck and happiness for the new chapter of his life.
‘Rafferty and I (as always) are rooting for you!
‘Thank you all, for the love and support, now and always,’ she wrote.
Just days before this life-changing update, Martine shared a loving message to Jack on her social media platform.
The tribute came around the time of Jack’s birthday too, an event she described as ‘bittersweet’ due to the death of his father Mick also impacting the family.
Singer Jack married Martine in 2012 in a low-key ceremony at Lake Como, four years after they began dating.
Martine played the loveable Tiffany Mitchell in the BBC soap from 1995 until her character was tragically killed off in 1998 after being run over by Frank Butcher.
During her time on the show, Tiffany worked as a barmaid in the Queen Vic. She married Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp) and together they had a baby, Courtney.
