EastEnders star James Farrar opened up about his ‘cruel week’ after his mother and daughter were taken to hospital.
The Zack Hudson actor, 37, revealed the tough week his family have faced on social media.
The soap star shared a video of his wife Ali and daughter Summer walking against a stunning sunset on Instagram before sharing the devastating news.
‘We didn’t finish documenting our roadtrip because soon after this shot we heard news of the sudden and unexpected death of an adored family member,’ he penned.
‘A few hours later my Mum ends up in hospital. Then yesterday, Summer had a fall on her head and is rushed to A&E (she’s okay 🙏). When it rains it pours.
‘As a family we are built to find the positives…but we just can’t find them here. It all feels cruel.’
James’ post was met with a lot of love from his EastEnders co-stars, with actress Clair Norris (Bernadette Taylor) writing: ‘Sending you and your family so much love.’
Diane Parish, who plays Denise Fox added: ‘Love to you and all your beautiful family.’
James’ soap character recently lost everything when his partner Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) discovered he had slept with Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa).
In a storyline that eventually led to Whitney’s exit from Albert Square, she concluded she didn’t need a man to live her life, and departed with baby Dolly and Britney (Lola Campbell) all on her own, ready to start afresh.
The setup Zack had with Whitney was one he had craved all of his life – and now it’s gone as a result of betrayal, secrets and a lot of lies.
The other person in this scenario is Lauren. She begged for Whitney’s forgiveness before she left but had her friendship destroyed.
Lauren paid a visit to Zack and wanted to see how he was doing.
Somewhat out of control, Zack tried to kiss Lauren again and when she rejected the advance, he turned and screamed in her face.
