This article contains spoilers for Friday’s (June 28) episode of EastEnders, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.
Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) was left completely stunned in recent EastEnders scenes when he discovered that dad Stevie Mitchell (Alan Ford) had another son.
As the initial shock wore off, Billy was confused about how his mum could have had another baby without him knowing, which was when it was revealed that Teddy
Mitchell (Roland Manookian) was actually his half brother.
Stevie went on to explain that he had had a fling with Teddy’s mum and hadn’t known he existed, but that he didn’t want to tell Billy about him in fear of ruining their developing relationship.
When Billy suggested that this was just another of Stevie’s scams, Teddy leapt to his defence, insisting that Stevie was his dad too, and he was trying to make things right.
After Billy stormed out, Stevie set out to find him, where even more secrets were uncovered.
As Billy lamented that it must have been Stevie’s New Year’s resolution to ‘gather his flock of abandoned kids together and fleece them’, Stevie admitted that he had been in Teddy’s life for twenty years.
Billy was understandably horrified, and soon tore into Stevie about how much of his and his children’s lives he had missed.
However, after a conversation with Junior Knight (Micah Balfour), who admitted that he was trying to change for his son Xavier before suggesting that maybe Stevie could change too, Billy decided to give his new family a chance.
Unfortunately, it soon became clear that Stevie wasn’t being completely honest with Billy, when Teddy joined him for a private chat.
